Farm Sanctuary Turkey Adoption

Each year during the holiday season, Lynne "adopts the flock" of turkeys at Farm Sanctuary.

Farm Sanctuary is an organization that was founded in 1986 to combat the abuses of factory farming, advocate for institutional reforms and helping others to fully understand farm animals.

These five turkeys represent the millions that are slaughtered each year. The donation contributes to care for the turkeys at Farm Sanctuary, protects others in need, and raises awareness of the life of turkeys.

When children learn to be kind to animals, they learn to be kind to people. When children learn what happens on this planet has a direct impact on them, they learn to respect it and the creatures that inhabit it.

Help bring these vaules into your classroom by incorporating pets into your school & find out how you can get a grant to do it

Kids and pets – it’s just natural – Pets in the Classroom Grants Kids benefit from exposure to pets in the classroom in ways that help to shape their lives for years to come. Our goal is to establish healthy child-pet relationships at an early age by supporting responsible pet care in elementary and middle school classrooms across the country.

The Pet Care Trust believes in supporting teachers with Educational Grants We know many school teachers have very limited resources for the support of classroom animals. That’s why the Pet Care Trust is sponsoring this program to help teachers support pets in the classroom through direct, no-hassle educational grants. You can obtain a grant for the purchase of new pets, pet environments or pet food and supplies for existing classroom pets.

Grants awarded January 2010 thru March 2012: Aquariums 2,658 Small Animals 3,490 Reptiles 2,257 Total Grants 8,405
