So why is it that the real tag line Give Blood and Save a Life doesn't have the same impact?
The faces of people needing blood vary from children, to adults, to people fighting cancer, to victims of car crashes, etc.
My father died 11 years ago yesterday. I gave blood in his memory and to say thanks to the selfless people that donated when he needed transfusions. I never could say thank you to them in person, and the individual who receives my blood never needs to say thank you to me. All we need to do for each other is give the very simple but incredibly precious gift of blood.
